Description

I read a brief description of how St. Valentine was killed (beaten with clubs then beheaded) and was compelled to make this piece. It's not supposed to be historically accurate though. Just having fun.

what i love the most here is the serenity of the colors compared to the violence of the subject - yet its that perfect pitch of bruised blue and pale fleshy pink, with a perfect almost neon splatter. its so sweet its off putting. you are always so, so brilliant with your palette choices.
